Caroline Lincoln, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor, Lincoln Counseling Owner
Hi There!
I’m Caroline Lincoln, Idaho MS, LPC and Owner of Lincoln Counseling.
In my work with individuals and couples I aim to help them create strong mind-body connections with themselves that allow them to authentically connect with others. I view my role as helping clients to articulate and continually move towards their desired day-to-day.
In therapist speak- I primarily utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients increase their psychological flexibility, self-compassion, define their values, increase acceptance of difficult internal experiences in order to move through emotions rather than get stuck in them, and continually make moves towards their values (even with barriers present).
I enjoy working with parents who are trying to juggle it all without losing sight of themselves, adults working to define their identities, and couples hoping to reconnect.
I am well-versed in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, communication difficulties, burnout, grief, histories of trauma, attachment wounds, and life transitions. Types of therapy that I most frequently utilize are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and/or Gottman for couples.
I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University. I am licensed in the state of Idaho (LPC-10205). Prior to becoming a counselor, I worked for Idaho non-profits serving those experiencing food insecurity and increasing financial literacy as a marketer. I grew up in Idaho where I developed my love for the outdoors. When I am not with clients I am chasing my kiddo around, mountain biking, or catching up with friends and family.
"This is a moment of suffering.
Suffering is part of life. May I be kind to myself in this moment. May I give myself the compassion I need."
